Can we please stop making this a political issue for just this one day? These people's lives were lost in an unfortunate tragedy, and people are still arguing in the comments over Trump and Republicans or the liberals. Just please celebrate eachother and remember those who have lost their lives in the attack for just one day. Please.

I'm staying at a homeless shelter with veteran's. The bathroom here flooded. The restoration company came out and are going to repair the flood damage! We will be sleeping here while the damage is fixed. Mold and possible asbestos infections is what we all face as struggling missions find ways to keep us off the streets!

This is the reality for homeless veteran's!

I miss teaching.
Especially on days like today.
But, if I was still teaching…
this what I would say:

You don’t remember.
That’s OK.
You were just babies.
Some of you weren’t born yet.
Wow. That’s crazy.
It doesn’t matter.
You can stop writing.
You won’t be tested on this... at least not in my classroom.
I’m not going to tell you stories.
Not today. Some day I will... but not now.
You’ll get them from someone else & from TV, the radio & newspapers.
Don’t listen to the radio, do you?
You should.
You should read newspapers too.
They have some in the library.
Anyway… here’s the homework.
Relax. Just listen.
I want you to walk
a little softer today.
And I want you to talk a little more.
Especially talk with people you
don’t normally talk with.
Listen a little more.
Especially to people you don’t
normally listen to.
Because today isn’t a normal day.
So please... look both ways.
People will come at you
from the left & the right.
You need to know that.
Offer them a smile.
It helps sometimes & if it doesn’t help…
well, you’ll be smiling & that’s a good thing.
We need more smiling today.
I’m almost done.
Less shouting today.
Actually, how about no shouting?
And hold open a few more doors.
Don’t honk your horn.
Out there on the road... yield.
Slow down for the yellow lights & stop for the red lights.
I want you to be safe.
And you’re making other people safer.
Oh yeah... listen to some music.
And sing loud.
Singing is good. Feels good too.
Give out some hugs.
You know, you may even
get one back when you do.
That’s a pretty good deal.
And tell the people you love
that you love them.
Some words are more than just words.
Love is one of those words.
Now I know you don’t remember
that day 18 years ago...
but remember this... some people will
never forget that day.
Today may be September 11th
for you & me but for some people
yesterday was September 11 & tomorrow will be
September 11th all over again.
Every day is 9/11 for some people.
Try to remember that.
OK. I’m done.
Thanks for listening everybody.
The rest of class is yours.

Mr. NoRide:
In my school when we were going over this 9/11 stuff, talking about how sad it was and how it has changed the US and we went over how much we have grown from that day. I am a Sophomore in high school btw. It kind of upset me when I saw students in the room looking at their phones, social media, giggling, having unrelated conversations. I do get that we are a younger generation that weren’t alive when 9/11 happened and it all seems like just history to us, but it was a major event that has impacted America ever since it happened. I was born two years after, I don’t recall losing anyone close to me, but I still think we should, even if we weren’t alive or lost anybody related to us, still respect the ones who lost loved ones, and the people who witnessed such a horrible event. Same goes for standing up during the national anthem, though people have the freedom to do whatever they want, I still think it is best that if you live in this country you should at least be respectful towards our country.

He has said in the past he should give himself a medal and that he often claims awards that are bogus! THIS MAN HAS NO SHAME!! His blatant lies about being and helping at ground zero is DISGUSTING,DISGRACEFUL ate ting to take the focus off the true heroes and congratulating himself! This man has NO SHAME! I will never forget waking up on the morning of 9/11 and turning on the news, just as the second plane hit the other tower. A devastating day; a day of fear and helplessness; a day of anger; a day of immense loss; a day of continual prayer. I remember President Bush, a president with policies I did not agree with, but for whom I gave my unwavering support, and respect, in that time when our country needed a strong leader and had one - just as we have one now.
So many posts here are so hateful of the man who is our duly elected president. People turning this somber occasion into a political sounding board for their hatred, and anti-patriotism. The memories of those people who lost their lives on 9/11 deserve better. Our president deserves better. We all must do better. We all need to take this day for what it is and stop slinging hate and unacceptance.

Mr. Trump, we know that if you had your druthers you'd let the 9/11 first responders die of cancer and other illnesses related to their heroic actions on that day and in subsequent days through the cleanup operation and be done with it. We also know that you invited leaders of the Taliban to Camp David and that they would have been there on this day. We know that you lied about crowds of Muslims in New Jersey cheering the fall of the twin towers. We know that you have just raided 3.6 billion dollars from the Pentagon budget intended for 127 construction projects in order to build your wall.

9/11 was a inside job. A tower can't come down like that without the use of explosives, which were planted two weeks before the attack during fire drills.

And how can a guy in a friggen tent or a cave in other side of the world can execute a mission like that and succeed 75%.
