Sad State Of Ross River Dam in Townsville, Australia. Drought and Poor Water Management. Drone Vid

Our dam is so low on water. Ross River Dam here on Townsville, in the State of Queensland, Australia is currently at only 17% full. We are in drought, and due to poor water management by the government, water from the Burdekin Dam cannot be diverted here. The truth is the Ross Dam was built for flood mitigation the fact it held water turned it into a constant water supply for Townsville instead of the very expensive cost of pumping water from Paluma dam and also the Burdiken River If the dam was not upgraded in the late 2000"s Townsville right now would have a metre of water running through most of the low lying suburbs right now if the earth walls on the northern side are breached in the next few days there would be a real natural disaster blaming poor water management is an uneducated response do some research mate

Council rangers have closed the end section of the dam wall so they could be spiteful towards the residents and tourists. They smashed up the steps midway but the new council restored them - just waiting for the new council to restore access once again or i will be out knocking on doors with a petition again.

I have some news that you may consider to be very good! The Dam has filled beyond capacity, and Australian authorities even had to open its gates to flood the town downstream in order to save the dam. I suspect that somebody there in 2017 prayed to divine powers for more water and rain, and we have a phrase in U.S. English: "Be careful what you ask for, because you might get it!"

The mispriority of projects like dam wall upgrade was set aside to give way to cowboys sports arena....the reason of massive flooding is bec the dam cant contain the water so it needs to be released ...the long term plan was put on hold wondering what's keeping them to execute this maybe another promise agenda when election is approaching....

ACTION SHOULD BE TAKEN TO CORRECT THE MISTAKE. COMPLAINING CANNOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. THOSE WHO ARE IRRESPONSIBLE SHOULD BECOME RESPONSIBLE OR BE REPLACED BY RESPONSIBLE PEOPLE. BUILD LARGE POOLS IN RIVERS.
